Bob Hawthorne, a member of the Lillington Club, reads on air the local news of the day for the Radio Reading Service. This program is sponsored by WFSS 91.9 FM at Fayetteville State University for those that are visually impaired. A radio receiver is given to those in need at no charge. Currently the greatest need of this program is volunteers to read on air and sponsorship of the radios that cost the program $100.00 each.
